How to import firearms into the U.S.

Thank you for your interest in MilArm Co Ltd.
To get a firearm into the US please read the following:

U.S Import Procedures

Applies to firearms made after 1897.
Handguns must meet your point system.
Firearms must be in Canada 5 years before they can be imported.
Firearms which were lend lease can not be imported.

1. Select Item from MilArm Co Ltd. (or other location!).

2. Make arrangements for Payment

3. MilArm will advise by mail, e-mail or fax all the pertinent detail
of your purchase.

4. We advise using a licensed importer/exporter, we have had very good
luck with and recommend:

     Leroys Big Valley Gun Works
     200- 1st Avenue North,
     Glasgow, Montana USA 59230
     Telephone: 406-228-4867
     Contact Denise Tiffany

5. We (MilArm) then provide to importer all the data on the firearm
and your importer applies for a BATF Form 6 "Permit to Import"

6. Once approved, importer provides us with a copy (via fax usually)
of the approved permit.

7. We then complete a BATF Form 6A, which is previously stamped with
importers FFL#

8. We forward the gun by mail or UPS to importer.

9. They receive and clear item and forward to you.

Subject: Re: Importation

Charles,

See page 94 of ATF P 5300.4. A licensed dealer (doesn't have to be a licensed importer) must request permission on BATF form 6 for "frames, receivers, or actions" (non-military).

Or call BATF Import Branch at 202-927-8320. They'll talk to you.

Randy Rick
