Press Release

Downingtown, PAApril 4, 2000 — Fundamental Objects, Inc. announces a new partnership to introduce the ECASYS Energy Coordination database. ECASYS provides a number of modules and services that can be combined for Federal and Local agencies who wish to automate their energy conservation services.

ECASYS modules include

  • WorkOrders maintenance
  • House Audits
  • Computerized Maintenance Management
(Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance, Material and Labor Use Tracking)
  • Blanket-Contracted Home Repairs
(Plumbing, Electric, Roofing, Heating, and Carpentry)
  • Contractor Dispatch & Scheduling
  • Customer Appointment Scheduling
  • Dynamic Online Reporting
  • Invoicing
  • File Import/Export
  • User maintenance
  • Full System security

"FO has performed a great service for our industry by integrating our key automated business functions: contracting services, maintenance work order tracking, material purchasing, and inventory control. In our experience software sellers offer products that do one or two of these functions, usually in isolation from the others, and then they force-fit their business rules onto our business! Instead, FO’s modules can be customized to conform to our business methods, letting us define what we are best at: the operation of our business. FO molds the automation process to enhance our business methods, not change them." said Jeffery Allegretti, President of Pennrose Service Company in Philadelphia.

"Once again we have combined our Client/Server and Object-based development experience, with important industry business leaders, to create a state of the art application and database. ECASYS is an intranet solution, with a portable, relational and very extensible backend database; that we think really hits the mark" noted Bill Shadish, President of Fundamental Objects.

Fundamental Objects currently provides custom software solutions on Win32 and AS/400 platforms, using the popular database engines, such as Sybase, SQL Server and Oracle. We currently work on projects that integrate applications with mini and mainframe-based data; as well as with important 3rd party tools, such as Lotus Notes. Our experience with integrating non-Microsoft solutions into an overall answer was very important when creating a backend database that actually ports from platform to platform.
